Went on an outing this morning. My wife was driving. Was looking over my gear and went to put in a fresh battery only to find out that one was dead! Grr. The other battery only had 23% left. Then I remembered that the newer Sony bodies can use a usb-c cable to charge internally now - Yay! Got the battery up to 55% by the time we reached our destination. Phew.
Still not sure how I ended up with a dead battery in my camera closet. Usually only put the extras back in storage after recharging them. Need to double-check the other ones in there now too!
Note to self - don't leave the house in a hurry without checking camera essentials first! :-} |

| Batteries are getting better all the time. Recently bought a replacement battery for my Nikon, that has a built-in charge port. I ride motorcycles, and often go motorcycle camping in remote areas. I can now charge my camera battery with a regular charge bank, even in the middle of nowhere! |

| I sometimes leave without memory cards in the camera. I admit I learned from the very same scenario to check for battery usage and memory cards in the camera. When you pick it up everyday you get into a habit. |

| In-camera USB-c charging is a nice feature. |
