Is it illegal to ask questions about a current challenge (one that is still open for submission?)

Should be fine in most cases -- there used to be regular discussions about upcoming challenges, which sometimes got into ideas restricting options, but those seem to have waned.

If concerned, send me a PM with the question, and I'll let you know if there's any problem with posting it publicly.
