To say I had too many door entries to choose from is an exaggeration, I mean Europe is full of interesting doors. I may have entered the wrong one, normally do when I have plenty to choose from.

Anyway here are a few out takes. I particularly loved this one in Bosnia of this friendly man whom I purchased one of his vases from.

Bought a painting of the Mostar bridge in this shop.

Had this one in for all about 5 secs, and didn't love it enough.

Loved the colours in this one.

This one of a metalworker.

This is taken in Trogir - Croatia where The Game of thrones was filmed (not that I've seen any episodes) I didn't like the angle I took the photo from, mainly because they had a big iron fence around the church which was hard to get around.

I could post more photos, but I'm guessing most of you are yawning now ;)

A nice set of photos of doors to choose from. I think your entry was solid. I just wish folks thought beyond doorways for the challenge. Only a few entries explored other types of entrances

Here are a few outtakes from my shot of the Imagine Peace Tower, as seen through an old industrial fence that is still standing close to my home, in Reykjavík. I was hoping to get some northern lights through the door but got this beam of light instead.

I think you picked the right one, Olafur. I am personally drawn to the one with the frost but the beam isn't quite there.

I was never fond of Yoko Ono's art but this is really nice.

I'm curious as to why my door performed so (relatively) poorly - 5.89


In 2011 I entered the same vault door, only it was open and from a slightly different POV, in the Doors challenge, and there it got 7.01 and a blue ribbon

While I am at it, here are a couple outtakes:

Lev, yours was another entry that I just did not get around to voting on, somehow I thought I voted on all of them, but you know how it is.
Not sure I would have scored yours more than a 5. The angle of the photo is not pleasing to my eye, and it is not obvious immediately that it is an entrance. The fact that the bottom is cut off, or maybe it's not, would have been another factor to my average vote. Hope that helps :)
