Unfortunately, the former 4th place image was DQ'd for failing to provide a valid 'original' in a timely manner.
Congrats to the newly promoted 5th place HM!

For future information, where would I have received this notice? There's nothing in my email and nothing in my DPChallenge inbox. The first communication was that I was disqualified. I'm a brand new user, so still trying to get used to things here. |

The thing that always gets my attention is the big red box in the upper left of the DPChallenge home page that doesn't go away until you submit a proof file. :-} Additionally, you should have received an email requesting proof. Please check your spam folder ...
Here's what the email would look like (from my personal email browser - on a PC). I moused over the address to show who the sender is:
Additionally, we inform users a couple of times about the need to submit a valid original if requested.
Here, on challenge entry submission ==>
And here, in the Common Editing rules ==>
With all of that being said, I've uploaded the original you submitted with your ticket, and after review it is a valid original.
Now I'm working on reversing the DQ. Hopefully it will be reinstated here shortly.
ETA - Appears that the reversal worked (mostly). Also, this is a free pass given your new status to DPChallenge. Please reach out to us directly if you place in the Top 5, requiring validation, if you haven't been automatically prompted. We're generally pretty firm on the timelines to be fair to all.

Thanks a bunch for your help. Would it be possible to determine if an email was sent? I checked my email and spam and didn't have anything from proof@dpchallenge.com or anything with the subject "Proof Request" or "DPChallenge". Just want to make sure there isn't a technical issue. |

It would be unusual for an email to NOT be generated for proof request. Pretty standard procedure. That being said, there has been an issue every now and then confined to specific email routers. I'm going to provide the details of this scenario to Mita, the site owner and programmer, for troubleshooting. |

From the logs it seems that not all proof requests were sent that night. This is under investigation. Apologies for the hassle.

I am extremely happy with how this is being investigated and with how Chris is responding so politely in what was an unhappy situation for him.
Congrats to all involved!

HA! I literally just thought the same thing and said so to my husband. In fact, I read him the entire exchange from start to finish as an illustration of why I stay here and ENJOY doing so. Real people behaving appropriately as they resolve a problem.
Thank you to all involved. |

Chris - one other place to ck your setting is in Preferences - under My Home. This is the area where you set your preferred messages etc to be sent to. Change your profile picture, how many messages/threads you want to see. But, remember if you make any changes to that page be sure to go to the very bottom on the right side and hit SAVE.
