I'm sort of overwhelmed by this outpouring of good wishes and I'd love to thank each of you individually, but it's gone too far for that so I'll thank you collectively :-) DPC has been core to my life for a few months shy of 20 years, and I've made a whole lot of friends here. It's been a privilege to work behind the scenes through the ups and downs to keep the place ticking along, and whilst we may not be all that we have been, we still exist, we survive, we support each other, and that's such a rarity in the fast-paced internet world.
Now, I'm not *going* anywhere, I'll still be a player as long as I can be. But I'm pushing 80 and I don't have anything like the stamina and bandwidth that I once had, so I needed to lighten the load on myself :-)
BIG thanks to those stepping up to the plate for the next phase of the site, especially to glad2badad who is bringing true *organization* to my earlier, helter-skelter attempts at the same.
There's so much more I should be saying, but... Thanks to you all for being my friends. Let's carry on! |

A heartfelt thank you from me. You have always been my go-to guy for my time here. I know things will continue to move along, but it will not be the same.
Thanks to all of you who keep this place running. I have not participated as much lately, but I am always in the background and appreciative of what you do. |

I remember getting the punt years ago and I petitioned to Bear to be reinstated.
Somehow he let me back in the ring.
I thanked him then, but I'll thank him again, thank you.
Now I need to dust off the equipment, assuming I can find it.

Well deserved break and thank you for all the measured and respectful input and hard work behind the scenes.
As long as you can hold a cell phone camera or migrate to M43 and smaller lenses you should be good to go!
Thanks Robert. |

Made that migration long ago :-) 99% of what I do is drone-or-phone. |

Thanks for your years of service Robert! I'm not around much anymore, but I'm happy you've kept the light burning. :) |
