Gina, As mentioned elsewhere, I was your 7 vote. Surprised to see my opinion differed so much from the collective.

Outtake was a different view of the same oilfield pump. I like them both and had a hard time choosing.

Gina, I like your "ying-yang" outtake a lot more than your entry. Somehow the washed-out colors of the challenge entry don't work well for me.
Steve, I also prefer your entry over your outtake.

Thanks Lev. I just found the stones under the car off-putting and couldn't clone them out successfully. |

Gina, I prefer the outtake to the entry. It creates a more balanced abstract IMO.
And Steve, For me the entry is a more interesting (and amusing) photo, and the title is better:) |

Thanks Penny. With hindsight I do too. I really struggle with decisions and that's two entries in a row where I picked wrong. |

If I'd entered the outtake it would have been the same title. When I researched these, I found that grasshopper is a nickname for this type of pump due to the appearance. |
