A poor showing of my entry
shows that many voters apparently don't consider gold a part of orange palette. In my book it is, since it is somewhere between red and yellow, even though closer to yellow than to red :)... I had a bucket load of nighttime shots like this
from our recent Sicily trip, but somehow I thought that absolutely stunning golden mosaics from the Palermo Palace would impress the voters. Wrong. |

I'll admit to knocking off a point for the gold vs orange thing, but I also saw how you viewed that fit to the topic. More often than not, wow factor is more important to one's score here than fitting the topic without room for debate. |
