No, not really. If you're interested, scroll about halfway down this page and it shows what the registration deadlines for each state are. It also shows the polling times for each state.

Can't you register at the polling station?

Not in every state. For instance, not in Florida.

It sounds like there's not a lot of consistency.

yeah and I live in Florida. I thought I could register at the station.

No, because I live in a state where all electoral votes go to one party regardless of popular vote.....

What about the other races? President is not the only office on the ballot...

I failed to inform myself on any other races, therefore I will not vote on something I know nothing about, I will not make a decision without as many facts as I can possibly handle, I feel to do so is cheating the system of any real decision by the educated population. I further feel that just because I chose not to vote for this election, for the reasons stated above that I should be obliged to vote for the sake of voting. With no real initiative to follow the races and people involved I feel it better to not make a quick decision just to say that I voted. I agree that one should vote, but personally without the proper information I cannot justify any decision I would be making, other than the presidential election, which I abstained from for the reason quoted above....

In the United States, elections are run by the states. What you are seeing today is actually 51 concurrent state elections, one in each state and one in the District of Columbia.

Nope - not gonna' either!

Yeah, I'll stick my neck out and say I don't and won't, and would rather take heat for my beliefs than be a hypocrite and say I did.
I won't make a decision on something I have no possible means to research accurately. I would need an office of lawyers to decipher what means what, who is in who's pocket and why, and is what is presented to us in the media "really" what is?
When this country can get the legalese and lawyers out of the picture, and can go to a no-nonsense accountability for it's actions, maybe then I may get involved.
