My daughter "inherited" my FujiFilm MX-2900. She has been having great fun with it, so I thought I''d share a couple of her photos with you.
A bit snapshot-ish, but I thought it would be fun....
She''s 9 years old.

Here she is
at the zoo today.

Here are two of her photos: One from the zoo, and one of her friend at our house.

She''s pretty interested and attentive, so I think she''ll improve steadily.

;-)

Thanks for letting me share this.

great photos...all of them. I can see the talent must run in the family! Thanks for sharing...it's neat to see a 'family hobby.' :)

Karen -

I really like both of her shots. The zebra one especially is really nice. Looks like she has a great eye!

Hi Karen,

My daughter Leah is also 9. She's interested in photography as well, and competes in dpchallenge with my camera (and help) under the name lcgleah.

If your daughter would like to email my daughter, i'm sure Leah will be excited and will respond... or leah might email first if you send me her email address.

I think its great when kids can develop lifelong hobbies like photography.

(BTW I also emailed this to you, Karen)

Karen,

That zebra shot is incredible. Tell your daughter to keep up the great work... and get her on the site! :)

You should also note that I'm very jealous of your amazing image quality on your E20 shot.

I also think her shots are excellent (to the point that I'd think the same whether or not I knew her age).

I really like both of them but the zoo one especially so - the angle and composition work really well for me.
