Her work is fascinating, as was her life. For those that have Netflix and haven't already seen it, the "Finding Vivian Maier" is worth watching. I have a friend that grew up in an affluent suburb of Chicago and lived next door to a family that employed Maier as a nanny. She has spotted herself in a couple of Vivian's shots.
