focus, welcome to dpc. you'll like it here. one of our unwritten rules is not to reveal our photos and discuss them until the voting is over, no matter how hard it is sometimes not to say anything.
as for the focus ... i was one of the people that commented on that. from where i'm sitting, the photo looks soft. i even opened it up in an editing program and sharpened it. it made a huge difference. do you want me to send you my before and after for comparison? send me your email address if you would like me to do that. gr8photos@lycos.com

My apology. Is there some way to delete this thread?
No need to send. I think I know what happened. Shrinking the file down to 150k from the larger size did compromise the picture. Let me ask, as a rule, do you normal get the file the right size (<150k) and THEN edit and sharpen?

you could go back and edit your original entry.
you can do your edits before or after you recrop and resize, but after your resize, just before you save, do an unsharpen mask. resizing always looses a little of the detail and unsharpen mask usually fixes that.
