let me be the first to say, Why would you make this photo a selective desaturation? it really does nothing for the photo.

Can you post up the original? |

No need to be rude. I was using a photo I had to practice hand tinting. |

I just wanted to see the original to compare your posted one with... line-wise and color-wise. I didn't mean to offend you by asking to see it. I apologize if you took offense to my request. |

people tell me how bad my photos are all the time. I think for the most they are just trying to help. You should put the photo back up.

you should really put the photo back up. I doubt it if jmlelii was trying to be rude.

I did not ask for comments on the photo! I asked how to do the hand tint in Adobe Photoshop, that is what I was asking. My comment was not directed at you laurielblack. I think Jeremy was rude. |

I certainly don't see this comment as rudeness in any way. Since I can't see the photo in question, it's hard to comment, but maybe the question is very valid, ie: why WOULD you use selective desat? Perhaps if you posted the photo, and explained that you are "playing with" selective desat....
If you did not ask for comments, then why did you post the photo? I'm curious...

Ahhh...I see in your followup post that you asked for help with tinting. I really don't think you should take offense to comments though...my goodness, there are hundreds of threads by peeps begging for comments!! Comments are good!

I think ericlimon is right. jmlelii probably was not trying to be rude, just being himself. However, I must admit that his comment/critique isn't exactly a constructive one. |

being rude would say "that sucks" or something else along those lines.
Saying something doesnt work in a photo is hardly being rude. if thats being rude, well then I suppose I should just leave here.
