Does anybody else here have photos of the Blue Angels or any of the other performers?

Great shots! I left a few comments on my favorites of the bunch. :o)

I do. I have some here, but they were taken at another air show.

Looks like you had nicer sky conditions than I did, though.

Nice shots.

The photo of the F-15E engines is sweet. the sky looks nice behind it.

Thanks. I dodged and burned it just slightly.

A couple months ago I was once stuck in traffic going home. Blue Angels were practicing their routine from Andrews AF base and they were flying quite low while doing their tricks. It was pretty fun while sitting in a car watching them through the sunroof! And damn they're loud!

Sorry to be off topic.

I managed to make it there on Saturday, but didn't get there for all the flying exibitions as I had wished for, and never made it back on Sunday (don't ask)
I did manage a few though:

(rather compressed versions, as I am trying to save space in my portfolio right now)

SWEET..... love the vintage planes. I'm wondering if anybody got any good shots of the B-2 bomber. I have one or two decent ones.... but damn that's a hard plane to photograph.

Iâve got tons of photos from past airshows at Miramar, but theyâre all on film. My brother-in-law was stationed there and he used to be able to get us all into the hangers and such before the show. I carried my aluminum case full of Canon camera gear right past the security guards and the huge sign that said âNO PHOTOGRAPHYâ, into the big hanger that said âFIGHTER TOWNâ on the side, and shot pictures of my kids climbing on the Tomcats. I bet it would be hard to get a camera past those guys nowadays.

BTW, I was told that they had closed Miramar. Is it still a Naval Air Station?

My best B-2 "Spirit" bomber pictures... "Fat Albert" of the Blue Angels on a jet assisted take-off.... and a wannabe Blue Angel from Point Loma that I saw on Sunday.

Miramar is now Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.... changed over from NAS Miramar over 5 years ago.... maybe 10 years ago.
