I see many batteries on sale on Ebay, and wondered which of the non-sony batteries you all have tried and how you liked them. I have never seemed to have enough battery time with one set with my other cameras, and with all the electronics on this one, I figure it will drain it down fairly quickly. thanks, in advance.

The Sony 707/717 has one of the best if not the best battery lifes out there. I can shoot over 2 hours with my battery and purchased another to tag along. Since I love gadgets and am paranoid about the camera going dead when I really need it (you know, like when the aliens land and you're the only one with the camera) I bought a DigiPower DPS-9000 for 29.95 at Best Buy per the recommendations of numerous others who use them. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but have heard nothing but rave reviews on the pack.
