The photo I submitted for perspective is likely to turn out to be my highest rated ever, only by a smidgen though, and not high enough to be in the top ten or anything (don't get excited :P).

But now I'm curious about how my other photo might have done. Here it is, I was going to call it "Sunbather":

Also, I took a couple of other photos that day that I really wanted to share, but I didn't because they might give that one away (if I submitted it).

Beach1
Beach2

I also took that photo I posted in the forums before, with the amazing sky, but I didn't think that one would be as easy to associate with the feet photo :).

I am so jealous! You are on the beach in a bathing suit and I am expecting wind chill factors here where I live at -10F. Just looking at these couple of pics has really warmed me up and makes me anxious for summer to come. Just a few more months to wait before the warm weather will be here.

I really like the "Sunbather" photo. I probably would have scored it either 6 or 7. I really like how the lines of the legs draws the eye into the center of the photo and then your eye is drawn to the texture of the sand. I think it's a very simple yet really interesting photo.

Thanks for sharing!

Great sunbather photo lisae! And the sky in Beach 2 is awesome too.

sigh
I'm with wackybill, however. It is snowing ... again. Well, at least I can look at this photo and know there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Hehe... you shouldn't be jealous. We had a string of days at 40C temperatures (that's 110F). On Sunday afternoon I was hot and tired and had a really sore neck from working too hard at my computer, and going to the beach was pretty much compulsory :). Our house only has air conditioning in the bedroom, which isn't unusual over here.

Nice shot Lisa - good use of a close foreground element that is normally missing from landscapes and so on.

Here's my perspective outtake for the week (and she does have both legs in working order, even though the picture doesn't look that way!)

Cool :). For some reason I find photos of the female figure from angles that would generally be described as "unflattering" or awkward really appealing. It has this feeling of breaking through some kind of barrier that was probably erected when I was a self-conscious teenager. In my photo I just LOVE how huge my thighs look. In your photo the angle is really cool and unusual. Foreshortening along the torso is usually such a no-no, since women are supposed to be long waisted and looking as thin as possible. Pah!

Just my usual rambling :).

Nice shot Lisa. Really like it. Really original...

This is one of my outtakes and has absolutely no reflection on my entered shot...

Shot with a 72 IR filter and channel switched the red and blue channel. No ther work done to it. No sharpening or color manip. It is a nice downhill run of pines but I didn't feel it offered enough perspective...

Last week was a particularly challenging week for me as my 13 mos old son was in the hospital. Being truly addicted though, I was constantly looking for challenge shots. Here is one I took that I thought about entering, but after the emotionally charged week I had, I really didn't think I could handle the negative comments I would probably get. I had another one, BUT didn't submit it for other reasons, adn will probably reshoot it for the speed challenge. :-)

My son Travis in his hospital bed. I was going to call it "Behind Bars."

This was my second runner up for the perspectives challenge (has nothing to do with the one I actually submitted). I really would like to know what everyone thinks. Be honest, too!

Thanks!

Very funny shot Bill! I don't hink it would've done so well in the perspective challenge though. ;-)

Sorry about your son, Karmat, I hope he is OK, he sure is damn cute!
Great shot BTW.
