There is a $20 rebate now on memory sticks by Lexar, thought I would share the good value. Amazon's got them for around 55, then there's the twenty dollar rebate, one per customer/household.

i'm planning on upgrading to the f717 sometime in the near future...and it may be the new math, but if i could get 8 128 meg sticks for 55 dollars each (for a total of $440) why would i pay over $800 bucks for a single 1 gig stick when they come out? the 8 sticks seems like insurance against losing the whole lot if the card is lost or stolen. i don't ever plan on using the camera as a video camera that'll need more than the 128 megs at a time. sure they might be a bit faster, but speed isn't really a practical issue with the sticks, i don't find. it's never the limiting factor with my s50. the prices on the memory stick pro will come down when nobody buys them... |

Maybe Sony has a problem with math! I am going to get one or two sticks and hope to get and x-drive or digital wallet to store the images in, which will be even less expensive!
I am expecting a new 707 soon that I just bought on ebay for a pretty good price. I can't wait. Have not been happy with my canon pro90is since I got it.

Kandy,
I just purchased a 256MB Lexar Memory Stick (although it is listed as a 128x2). Found it on eBay for $92 and 7 shipping. I haven't received it yet (coming in on 4.15.03). FWIW, go and get it. but i agree with having multiple cards. they say that most of these are error proof, but i still think that it is electronic, they can go bad. |

Hi everyone,
Some places to consider.
//www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10326541&loc=101
As you can see when you visit, they have free shipping
Also, if you are looking for 1 gig. checkout
//www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?sku=L61-3322%20P
Heads up, I read the desciption on site and this "PRO" memory stick is only compatible with "PRO" devices.
I always compair prices, especially now a days...
