Old Photo - very different editing

Hi, my first entry here to break a 5.000 was this photo:

I did not have photoshop then (used microsoft photo editor) which is very basic.

With some suggestiong from people here I re-edited it to this:

Now that I have photoshop and think a little differently I decided to re edit the photo, and see what I came up with:

I left it uncropped this time. I may have gone overboard with the colours, but was wondering what people thought of this version and if there were any suggestions to make it better.

Huge improvement :) I much prefer the uncropped/edited original one to the second photo though, as I like the boats in the first.

I recently did similar with a landscape shot I had. The original was ok, nothing special. Revisited it recently with more PS experience than I had when I did it and it improved heaps.

Nope sorry, it was done for a print and I don't have it up online.

The colors in your latest re-edit are beautiful. Not overdone at all IMO. I like a more liberal crop, but I would lose a bit of the bottom, to put the boats at approx. the bottom 1/3 line. Also, I'd suggest correcting the slight horizon tilt.
