Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the *TRUE* winner of the Masters Challenge.
Sher9204 has, in my opinion, and certainly not only in *my* opinion, has, with this photograph, come into her own with this photograph. It is a photograph that grabs you, that has an energy and a feeling that is difficult to describe, but amazing to witness, and has a timeless and classic feel to it that goes far beyond any silly ranking.
Sher, this is my tribute to you for giving me such a fantastic photograph to add to my favorites, and for a moment that is to charish for many I am sure. Whether it invokes memories of our own childhoods, or whether it reminds us of our own children.
You're the winner to me! Gold Ribbon darling!

This is a glorious piece of work. I just read all the comments and what became apparent is that it was scored lower for it's (my words) artistic rendering. The grain, the colors - all make this so much more than a snapshot of a child, but didn't sit as well with DPC (in relation to others - it certainly was scored appreciatively). I hope that Sher also recognizes this.

We all know *why* it was scored lower.. but that doesn't mean it deserves it :) If I can't single handedly change people's minds about what consitutes a *GREAT* photograph, at least I can simply state my personal feelings and to hell with everyone else :)

I thought this was one of the best in the challenge, surprised it didn't score higher.

I only gave Sher's image a 9!!
It was also one of my favourites, I kept having to go back to look at it. OK I gave out 2 10's but in retrospect I think I should have given this one a 10 also. Congratulations on a great photo. (P.P. It's in my favurites now) |

Ya know the problem with this thread is that due to the high quality of shots we could easily list 69 deserving of the blue. It's really a shame there had to be a last place. |
