Do any of you go through your comments when you need a lift?
I do.
That's why I love to comment... to make others feel uplifted and encouraged about their talent. (Every one is at a different level, you know.)
When I've had a bad day... or don't feel like I have anything to offer photographically to anyone, I go through the comments on my "good" images... and that makes me feel so much better.
Do you do that?

I love your comments, Lydia, always have and always will...but can't really say I go through comments on my images when I need a lift. I just feel like I'm wallowing and being too self-pitying when I do.
But what does lift my spirits, here anyway even as a score of my own is tanking?
Getting thanks for a critique.
And, in the most recent case of  clickodak, getting publicly thanked and sharing a ribbon dedication with  sidpixel. Now that really does it for me! |

Well, if I were you, I'd go back and look at the comments on this image any time I needed a lift. 
It's not self-pitying or wallowing... it's appreciating the kudos that peeps told you for your accomplishment. That's why they wrote them, you know. :D

Thanks Lydia and yes your post and re-reading the comments on that pic did cheer me up, so maybe I should try it more often. I still like being able to help others ribbon, though :-) |

I must say, I don't go re read comments to cheer myself up but do do it from time to time as well (sadly many are old now). |

Well caught Susan and thanks :) The egg yolk stuff was my magic mix of water, guar, Isopropyl alcohol and a touch of sugar along with yellow food colouring ;) |
