A group of people called "On the Way" are looking for logo ideas. "On the Way" is a small church and the logo I'm thinking of will include a curving path, perhaps someone with a lantern, etc.

I've been looking for photos sort of like these to help us with our design ideas, but these ones don't quite hit the spot:

Any ideas/help/inspiration?

what about a shot with innocence and growth. Children always work well. Maybe elaborate on something like this?

Neat idea...who else can provide some input?

A logo or an image? Bear in mind reproduction in print/on-line.

A logo is something that should be reproducable easily in mono, small - something clean, simple and symbolic that communicates the message. Fewer colours are cheaper to print.

What about a figure following a path into the distance that turns into a cross? Or someone standing silhoetted by bright light - arms outstretched with their shadow making the cross symbol? If you son't want a cross then perhaps and arrow suggesting way-finding.

It would be a logo that we're looking to create, so we're definitely looking for something crisp, simple and monotone...

I'm not sure if the cross will be in the logo or not. It's one of those Judeo-Christian symbols that causes people to immediately pigeonhole the group of people who bear it but it can be effective if it's not done in a cheesy manner.

Early followers of Jesus weren't called Christians...they called themselves 'the way' (which evoked purpose and hope) and that's the mood that this logo (and this group of people) is going for.

when this baby hits 88 miles an hour, you're going to see some serious bump.

Anyone else with some ideas or help?
