| Just looked at the snapshot entries. I love this challenge! Didn't enter, but am going to have a blast rating the images - wait, that's too highfalutin - the snaps, many of which are deceptively compelling. By definition, it's tough to disdain the cheesier snaps because they're merely hewing to the intent of the challenge. And there's such a fine line between deliberate "art" (or are these instances of effortless talent?) and snapshots that glow. Merely giving voice to these thoughts leaves me addled. Do I penalize heightened saturation, extraordinary detail? Do I bump for inclined horizons, centered subjects? So the rating process will be a philosophical tussle in a maze of mirrors. I anticipate a very high scoring average and a lot of fun. |

I have no complaints about the score but I had another entry that I wanted to swap out at the last minute but the last minute had already passed and I missed rollover. |

This was one of the toughest challenges to decide on a final image.
Riding a 6.0000000 right now.

Started at 5.5 and in the last hour it's risen to 6.1 so happy with my 'snapshot' :) |

Not for me anymore, complete turnaround from yesterday and back to 5.6!

No idea. I'm middle of the road, but it's a fairly middle of the road shot.

Now see, I don't generally consider a 6+ to be middle of the road. More like a 5.6 is. Been MIA a few weeks, though . . .

To be fair, I figure 'middle of the road' comprises scores between 5.25 and 6.25 or so.

This place is like a ghost town lately. I'll be surprised if this site lasts one more year with the lack of voting, good challenge themes and comments..... Unless of course we get a rush of new members or something really exciting happens to this!
