I Just finished voting on ALL the pictures. It took me about 4 days to vote on the Cliché pictures. Lots and lots of GREAT photos and I had lots to say in my comments. I just voted on the Before and After pics. Took me 15 minutes, and most left me with nothing to say. I found most were plain, or out of focus or just off-topic. A handful stood out, but overall I think they were sub-par. I did not submit to this challenge because I was too busy and could not find any inspiration for it.
Of course this is just my opinion. Anybody else feel the same?

I agree to this in some degree. I suppose that people (including myself) expect better pictures in the members challenges, because the general idea is that more of the skilled photographers inside DPC are registered as members.
But, what I see happening is, IMHO:
a. There are considerably more pictures in the open challenges, thus more chance to see better pictures.
b. There are a lot of excellent photographers not registered as members.
c. A lot of the "skilled" members do not submit every week.
But I agree with the feeling of being somewhat disappointed overall with the pictures in some of the members challenges, like B&A, Got Milk, and Humor.

Thank you. For those who want to vote my picture up so I can win, please feel free to give some 10s. I'll give you a hint of which one is mine ... It's the one with the background. Please don't DQ me. I don't know any better.
:)

Please stop scoring down pictures. I've seen my score drop like this:
Monday x.6
Tuesday x.5
Wednesday x.4
Thursday x.3
It feels awful. |

Oh yeah, and my picture has more than one colour. Please give me 10s.
I think I may be at fault, jenarom. I've been voting down the picture which has light in it. Is that one yours?

Oh, man. Why did I submit that picture if its not the Light Source challenge? Jacko, please don't hurt me because I didn't meet the challenge. |

We all make mistakes. I'll let it pass this time. I gave you back my original 10.
Anybody else wants to plead their case. Gotta keep your hints pretty general because the DQ police might be watching. lol
Who submitted the one with the border? I might give that one a 10 if I can get a reasonable explanation of why your picture has a shadow.

Mine has a double border -- can you give me a 20 this week? That should bump my average up near 5.
Also, there's definitely a shadow, because part one non-transparent subject is interposed between the other subject and the light source... |

OK, that is a great explanation. I wasn't sure how those fancy shadows were done. Look, I can only give you a 10, but I'll be posting your photo description in my daily newsletter and a recommendation to my fans that they give you 10s. That will get you 2 or 3 more 10s (I can't remember if my mother is still part of my mailing list). Good luck. Hopefully that'll bump your score up to 5.1 or 5.2. That should be good enough for a second place. Mine will win at the current 5.91.
