A friend sent along this article telling how Google is about to start doing our photography for us.
Enjoy and discuss.
I expect most of you will understand more of this than I did. |

Wow. Neural net dreams, LOL! Whoda thunkit? I love the "inceptionism" term!

Not very. It's turning out to be a lot tougher than they thought. Even Hofstadter now wonders if it's possible, at least by any reasonable definition of "intelligence". We may be able to develop machines with "autonomous thinking" fairly soon, but (the theory goes) to have "intelligence" you need true consciousness, and that's a tall order.

Yes. True consciousness is a tall order for many human beings, most of the time. If we ever achieve true AI, I wonder what will happen to all the people who go along just to get along. And another thing, why is it that in our imaginations the first order of business for any AI entity will be to attack humans?
It is humans that decide what the neural network is to learn, it is humans that decide whether the result is acceptable or not. That's not AI. At least, to me.
I have always wondered why we think our perception of reality is the only correct one.
