So you are going to vote down on an awesome shot of a leaf/leaves because it literally meets the challenge? |
I never said that, you did. So far I'm quite impressed and my votes are above my avg vote given, but I haven't finished voting yet. |
Emphasis added. I'm not sure what you meant by this then. |

Elaine, Neat said she'd reserve her highest scores for the images she considers to be pushing their way out of the box. Take it at face value; she didn't say she'd vote anything down, just that she'd reward more creative takes on the challenge. |

Well, it was a bit of an unusual statement. I kind of read it the same way ... with a twist.

So basically, Neat decided to be different and went for the "outside the box" approach (and it's not scoring well for her) - additionally she will be rewarding those instead of the "dull and boring" ... "ones that are trying to please". There was a hint of soap box positioning in there to me.
Somewhat typical bantering about "how to vote" in a scores thread. Happens all the time. :-) |

people can and should vote as they please. what harm in sharing how it is that they please?

... as for "what harm in sharing how it is that they please?" - I guess none. I haven't voted this challenge yet, but I'll be a tad more critical of those blurry, fuzzy, heavily textured, out of the box images for sure. :-D |

Here's how I scored this one
You have rated 81 of 82 images (99%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 6 images (7%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 5.6667.
A lot of good images there, and I commented on my favs. I totally understand Neat's perspective. I also tend to reward those who push the boundaries of the challenge or take a particularly unique approach... There's nothing wrong with that position, vote as you like! |
