| If I remember correctly the system includes a code to prevent you from voting on team mates images so you can't even do it by mistake. |

I have never done the DPL thing. I don't know how it works but I feel I might give it a try...
The only downside is that I am afraid that due to my work schedule I might not always be able to commit 100%...
There is also ( - blush - ) a recent lack of interest in DPC and photography but that can be easily overcome.
So, If anyone needs a replacement or something... |

There are many teams still without a full members and also you can make a team its easy to do and no major responsibility for team capt.
I think the site really benefit from the DPL and many members join and many members come back too.
Jump in the pool and enjoy it. |

I was captain of a team, once, in a WPL or TPL or WTPL or something like that. Basically, all you had to do was to bug your teammates every once in awhile to make sure they hadn't fallen down a hole and to pass on any information from above.
There really isn't anything to it. Go for it!! |

To clarify what I said:
10 - What happens if there are more or less than 24 (or 48, 72, ...) teams when the season starts?
If an exact multiple of 24 teams is not reached, then the next highest multiple will be used. For example, if 75 teams are finalised, then only the first 72 will be able to compete. The order in which teams are finalised dictates where they are in the count, so getting your team to be finalised should be done as quickly as possible in order to ensure a place.

WOW! JP (Alfresco) is back and in the pool. He was on my very first team, the first week that I was active on DPC and he is an incredible photographer, teacher
and really nice person. I was so grateful to have been on his team and will never forget his kindness. Our 'hitsquad' has been wrapped up for a week but had it not been
I would love to have the experience of being on a team with Alfresco agin. Hey JP I hope you will be around! |

Number of Teams - if we can get to 30, I'm sure there's a way to work the brackets. Talk to  Vlado - he's a magician with brackets!! And with the number of people still in the pool, we can get to 30 teams.
Do we know yet how many scores per week will count? Is it 4 or 5?

Given it's league then playoffs, wouldn't any number of teams work? You just need a 2^ number for the playoffs, so just manage that by selecting the top (insert 2^ number here) to go forwards into the playoffs...
Or do I misunderstand how it works? |

Each team plays each other team in its division twice in the regular season, or at least they did last time around. But we need to have 4, 8, or 16 teams make the playoffs to have clean brackets. Any other number of playoff teams requires first-round byes in the playoffs at a minimum. |

We could attempt to work 32 teams into the Season, but we'd have to either shorten the standard season from 6 weeks to 4 weeks (standard 8 divisions, 4 teams per division) or lengthen it from 6 weeks to 8 weeks (4 divisions, 8 teams per division). There's a decent risk in this though in that I don't know if my code can handle it without heavy modification. =X
