To use the InsertThumbnail function you only have to insert the image's ID number (at the very end of the URL -- 108708 in this case) as an argument -- not the full path to your portfolio.
Here's how your's should come out:

Mine is
It's a sea anemone takes in the aquarium of someone I know, under the actinic lights of the aquarium.
The picture itself is almost untouched. It is only resized, border added and SFW.

You are absolutely right. I should trim my portfolio down to two images. Then I would have something (seriously).

To link from pBase the code should look like this, except I've added a space in front of each opening bracket to inactivate it so you can see it.
[ url=//www.pbase.com/gilp/image/30573975][ img]//www.pbase.com/gilp/image/30573975/small.jpg[/img][/url]
The image tags are used within the text-insertion field you get when you use the InsertHyperlink button.
For images hosted at DPC, check out the Image_ID number at the very end of every URL referencing the photo. Then, just type that number only into the field for the Insert Thumbnail button so you get something like this:
[ thumb]123456[/thumb] |

Here's my favorite of the ones I have online. I don't do many B/W but I love it when they come out! At least in my opinion. : )

Picking a 'favorite' photo from a collection is always a difficult proposition. We all have photos that we like equally and for different reasons. This photo is one of my current favorites for a host of reasons:
"Meditation XVII"
It is on my top favorites list because it tells a story that I understand. This is actually a 'contrived' photograph and not candid at all. The people in the photo are unidentifiable, but I know who they are and their identity plays a strong role in the image. |

Something recent is usually what I like the best.
This one originally intended to be placed in
the challenge Backlighting is from a series of
political posters.

Believe it, or not, this was THE picture that made me realize how much I liked taking pictures. A this point I didn't know a thing about composition, lighting, aperture, shutter speeds, etc... This was pure luck. I guess that's why it's my favorite. |
Nice work :-)
I love that fog.... |
