A shot I took earlier today, in both color and Sepia (using Virtual Photographer). Thank you to those of you who gave me tips on how to fix these up a bit.

I don't know about fixing it up. I think it looks pretty nice. I like the color best. :)

I like both.

Here's another couple of things to try, push processing (see earlier thread) or fading the colours a bit to make it look like an old worn picture.

I'm a sepia addict... that's a really great subject for those old sepia tones. Wonderful job! :o)

They're both great, but I agree with lauriel, I love the sepia, it works great with this subject

The sepia photo is attractive, but I'd hate to give up that beautiful red/green contrast you've got going in the first version. I think it would also depend on your audience. My dad is a nut for vintage automobiles and anything that shows the original condition of the vehicle is valuable. [How many v-words can I use in this post? :-) ]
He'd probably look at the color version and say, "Ooooh. See? That one still has the original paint job." If you're going for something more aesthetic, the sepia gives me that worn, nostalgia feeling.

For anyone keeping track, that was 4 v-words. :-)

If God had intended photographs to be rendered in Sepia or B&W, he wouldn't have invented Kodachrome. Sing with me now ... the Paul Simon song Kodachrome ... "Momma don't take my Kodachrome away ay ay ay ay!"
