So I bought a new camera (Nikon D7100)and my PS CS2 / Adobe Bridge and Windows XP can't convert the .nef files. Classic case of software and hardware companies forcing you to upgrade perfectly good products often.

I tried to download Nikon's View NX2 software but it will not work with Windows XP. Any suggestions?

P.S. - I know I really need to upgrade both systems and probably will sometime this year but cannot right now.

Time to bite the bullet and sign up for Photoshop CC.

Nah, bite the bullet & upgrade to Win7.

Adobe has a free converter for this purpose, turns RAW files into DNG files which, I believe, your CS2 can use. I know Win XP is supported by the converter. This is the standard workaround for situations like yours, and I have used it myself in the past.

Get your DNG Converter here.
