People, the OVERTIME REGULATON debate is over, at least for now. Last I heard the House had voted against Bush's regulations.

Was browsing around and found this data from the CIA World Fact Book. Find the United States on that list.
Sorta puts things in perspective.. :/

True. The House voted against them. But the Senate has not, and the amended bill has not gone to the President.

Ergo, the updated regulations are still in effect.

My comment: That is very frightening! Thanks for digging that up.

Other then people that earn over $100,000 (who are not poor or middle class) who are these millions that are losing overtime??? Name some professions.

louddog, if you will look through the links I posted for RonB's benefit, you will find not only lists of professions, but the numbers of people who are estimated to be affected within each listed profession.

I happen to be in charge of my department and I am required to check time sheets and overtime pay on each employee. We are a construction company and no one in the company other than the owner makes over $100,000 a year. Overtime pay is the same now as it has been for years. There has been no change.

I don't have time to read all the links you post. Simply name a few professions, in your own words, that will lose OT because of the new rules. If it's as bad as you are saying this should be a really easy question.

Only a question: Huh? Unless I'm missing something (I've checked it 3 times) I don't see any indication of what it is. Maybe you could be a little less cryptic...?
