So I just got the new D750 and had a chance to test it out last night. Here are some shots from one of our local football games. This was my first time shooting a game at night so some of the compositions are that great since I was more worried if everything was staying in focus :) Anyhow I just wanted to show off the high ISO ability of this beauty as most of these were shot at 5000. Hi Damon,
Was nice to meet you in person today, and chat, even though I was being dragged away. I've shot that field, what SS were you using to only need 5000 ISO?

Hey Matt, definitely cool to see you today!!
I was getting 1/400 at 3.2 and 1/500 - 1/600 at 2.8, obviously these still weren't fast enough on some of the shots but I didnt want to push the ISO even though I should've. |

Hey, great shots - that's an exciting new rig and a big jump from the D7000 if that was your last. I have the D600, which I bought to replace my D7000 - FX is awesome. You can push that iso to 64,000 no problem when needed I've continually been impressed even though you cringe seeing that ISO in your viewfinder when shooting. |

Nice, you got some good ones for sure.
Night football can be tough, it was very hard getting clean photos when I shot it with the old 1D at ISO 1600. Luckily some of the fields I had to shoot in were better lit than the one you've shown here. I think I used 1/400 at 2.8 and ISO 1600. |

The camera is amazing for the money that's for sure. I was using a D700 and D7000 prior to this and it blows them away in low light. They will still be used but this will be my goto in low light situations for sure. I have to practice a lot more to get up to Matt's standard though :) |

You can surely push the ISO a bit further, I've played with some images from the camera and it has a great chance to be a good performer. I prefer a min. of 1/800 for night time football myself. Here are a few from the game I covered friday for the paper. These are either 1/1000 or 1/800

very cool thanks Matt. I should be able to push it to the same as the D4 since the sensor is supposed to be the same. I'm going to try again this weekend if there is another Regional game in town. |

If you really want to test yourself. Festus will host Hillsboro next week in round 2. You will get some awesome light cycling and some very dark sections of the field. It will test your editing skills as well as shooting and equipment. |
