Hi everyone,
Based on interest expressed over on my momentous news thread, I've uploaded all 24 of my entries to the contest. I've reduced them significantly, so there's a little loss of detail.
Most of these images were taken over the course of 6 weeks, but also include images taken in previous years (which was allowed for the contest). As I also explained in the thread, the images did not have to be taken at the time they represent (I don't do ANYTHING between 1-5 am....) You may recognize a couple of them, which were entered here in challenges. I hope you enjoy them! |

Thanks for the link, I do enjoy looking. I glanced at all of them (again) and I must say that personally I prefer 65% of the non selected pictures to the awarded one. But who knows what they were looking for. They must have preferred an Americana of sorts (a grandiose business related building?) and ignored the violin maker or the migrant worker looking for a job. I have a few technical questions (ah, again?) about some of them and I'll ask separately.
Congrats Johanna! |

I enjoyed all of them.
Do you shoot for a newspaper or magazine? If not, I'm sure you'd have no problem getting a job for one if that's what you wanted to do. |

I imagine everyone will have a different idea of which one is the "best". I don't know why they chose the one they did. That's the nature of subjective endeavors :)
Jon, nope, don't normally shoot journalistic stuff. Just threw some into the mix. |

Wow. An outstanding series of shots, Johanna. Such an eclectic mix of well captured people and architecture. You certainly get around to some interesting places. The buffer is an excellent shot, and while I may have a handful in your group I would have picked over it I cannot argue about the photographer they selected. |

Lots of great ones in there Johanna. I do love Bulb Changer but other ones I thought were cool were Seamstress, Pipes, and Lull. Good things in this collection! |

IMHO Pipes is the strongest of the entire set. But reality is they are all very good.
