I knew the birds would more fit what people expected of the challenge, but I just thought it so much cooler that the moon didn't fit the required framing without looking silly.

Look at me, I'm protesting.... ;)

I think you made the right choice. I liked that some of you guys chose to bend the rules. I also liked hotpasta's vertical crop of a waterfall for the same reason.
