Historic Landmark -- The Old & the Beautified

Some buildings fall to the wrecking ball, some are abandoned to the elements & some are kept up, valued for their place in local/national history. Find one of these Historic Landmark buildings & memorialize it with your camera. **Extra credit** if you include a link to information about the history of the building in your Notes.

This could be a chance to find the historic landmark buildings in your town & get a picture-postcard-perfect shot of it. Maybe even see it published locally.

And it would make a fantastic followup to the Abandoned challenge! We should have one after the other.

I really like this suggestion - and yes, I want to find out about people's historic places. A link, and a precis in the info section to read after voting would be really interesting.

Excellent! I'm off of work this week, so I'll have time to shoot what I have in mind (only open on weekdays). And even if I don't get there, we're going to NYC on Thursday. I should be able to find something there, maybe.

Oh goody, there's all kinds of historic buildings around here, in all states of repair and disrepair. The hard part will be choosing which one!
