Does anyone have any idea/trick? basically I want to take a shot in a day and then somehow convert to night shot and it would look more like shot taken in night. This thought came when I saw a video where they shoot the video in day (they showed how did they do) and in post production they convert it to night (they didn't show how) :) |

Basically increased contrast, switch tones towards blue and desaturate some and add some glow, then reduce exposure. Nik Color Efex Pro has a filter called "midnight" that works pretty well.

Do you mean only working on colors? There should be an extra rule to verify if the image is taken during daytime. |

I took this picture several years ago when I was in high school. It was taken in the middle of the day and in color, but my photography teacher helped me make it look like night. I was shocked at how much better it looked after he helped me with it. If I can remember all the steps that I took to get to this, I will let you know.. I think a lot of it is just playing around with settings during PP though!
Good luck! It should be fun.
