Seeing that I'm in my late 40s, and that this is meant to be a Minimal challenge, I'm making sure I'm ready for it by setting my camera to soft focus in-camera, and applying LOTS of Vaseline....*glop glop* |
I guess you should probably specify where exactly you're glopping that Vaseline |

OK, here's a hint. Back in the olden days, before fancy sfx filters, skin smoothing etc, ageing celebs would be shot with a lens which had Vaseline smeared on its surface. So that's one way I could be using it....or....being snaffles, I might, just might, apply it to my body instead and rely on the resulting glare to blank out the not-so-pretty areas (not that I have too much to worry about, even for an aged broad)...or possibly BOTH!!!! Use your imagination! |

A Word to the Wise:
If you decide to do the soft focus thing by smearing vaseline, DO IT ON A CHEAP FILTER, not on your lens. Yours truly made that mistake once, back in the paleolithic. Your's truly's boss (whose lens it was) was not amused. |

What probably really set him off was when he developed all your nude selfies. |

No, I was the darkroom rat and the studio gopher, it was my first job in the biz. HE told me to "Vaseline up the 85!" assuming I'd know enough to do it on a filter. But hey, that's how we learn, right? |

If I could get enough bokeh in front, I might give it a try. (LOTS of bokeh.)

After suffering through 31 days of self portraits maybe I could do something a little different for a change :D
ETA. Maybe something like that nude body suit mentioned by Neil.
