Just wanted to pass along this FYI

Is your version of Photoshop Elements 2 registered at Adobe?

I registered the copy that came with my Canon EOS 10D and I recently got an offer from Adobe for upgrading to Photoshop CS for only $299. I ordered a second copy and had it mailed (Not the download vcersion).

It came with the program cd, training CD and manual.
Lot cheaper than the $650 asking price.

It's also $299 with a student discount some places.

Yes if you have a student ID you can buy the Acedemic version of Photoshop CS. You can search google using "Academic Software".

One point I was trying to make in my original post was to always "Register" your software.

Academic Superstore

My sister works for a college so when I need something, I go through her. CS is on my list for the near future. I also got the PS Elements email but they had a cut off date, I think?

I bought Photoshop Elements 2.0 for NZ$149.00 (about US$75.00) using a friend with a student I.D.

I got my upgrade from a college store WITHOUT a student ID.....just lucky I guess....or just so happen to go the campus store at the right time when it was swamped....I don't think they paid any attention...It only cost me 125 bucks US.
