Silly idea -- Art for the Artless jury?

Ok -- anyone interested in joining me on an Art for the Artless jury?

I thought it was fun when there was at least one alternate jury two years ago on the Art of 2011 challenge.

I've been on the jury for the last two years, and it's a different jury this year -- which is cool. It's fun to be in the pool!

But I also enjoyed the conversations, and with no formal training in art, it was quite interesting to see the differences and similarities in my picks vs the rest of the jury.

So I was curious if anyone was interested in being on an unofficial jury of people with really no art background. I'm curious to see the differences between the official jury and one like this.

I'm thinking 7 or so people. You would need to have very limited art training. But you need to be interested in the photography vs art type of discussions. If the threads irritate the crap out of you, then you probably wouldn't have fun. If they irritate but intrigue you, then this could be a lot of fun.

It's probably a non-starter, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone wants to do this with me.

Any takers?

I,ll take a stab at it ..i,m intrigued if anything it will broaden my knowledge on art i can never understand it no matter which way i look it

Haha! I doubt that this will be the group to broaden the knowledge, since the whole point is we have no knowledge. But it should be fun anyway. :)

If you don't mind someone with a fairly clueless idea of 'art' and don't mind someone who is not particularly articulate, I'll have a chop, time permitting.
