I got my DPC membership this week just so I could enter the three challenges available for me. I had a really good week and I think it paid off in my pics they all seem to have a good sense of humor to them. I can't wait to see the other entries. I bet voting is going to be hellish.
So who̢۪s in and how do you feel about your entries...

I'm in two of the four. I'm not a master, so that one's out, and I just have no ideas for smoke, so have decided to just give it a pass. (I was going to do something with incense.. but feh.. so is everyone else ;)
I feel good about my photographs, but my Sports one is going to tank. I can guarantee it. Why? I actually *added* noise to it.. on purpose.
So.. 3.5 for that one :)

I finally have my new camera, and I went out today to take my first set of pics. But I don't have a good zoom for sports, even though I passed a little league game on my bike, I don't smoke nor do I want to generate a lot of smoke in the house so that's out, and I don't have any good ideas for mirrors. Anyone have any inspiration?
I think that's been one of my biggest problems on this site. I can't think of anything for these "topical" ones, and then I see the brilliant creativity of others, and I say, why didn't I think of that! |

i will try to get a mirror shot done this night... im not a master so that ones out... and maybe ill get a team sport tomorrow... i dont really have any 'interesting' ideas for smoke.

Submitted my Mirror entry and tried Smoke today but failed miserably. It's quite a challenge and no time tomorrow to retry. Might do Team Sports on Monday. Lotsa time for Masters if come up with some ideas... so far none.

| I've got mirrors and sports entered; working on smoke tomorrow. Not sure about the Master's challenge yet... but this has been one more busy week! ;o) |

Mirror - No good idea.
Smoke - Camera can't handle smoke.
Team Sport- Can't get close enough for good sport shooting.
Master- Not a master.
After a punishing "Travel guides" entry I'm just going to shoot what I like this week and not enter anything for the challenges.

Yep Yep and Yep...
Smoke, very happy with it after the first idea fell flat!
Mirror, Happy with after the first idea was so so.
Team sports! Well I have a new telephoto lens that worked a treat!
And just finished voting on Travel guides! Personally I took a huge beating!

| It's 3 challenges for me (not a Master) and I have submitted for 2. I got 2 more days for the other one, which I don't think I would be able to do. |

| I hope I have two good and novel entries for smoke and mirrors. Haven't got a team sports one though, and I'm not in posession of a ribbon so no master !! |

| Out of the three i'm eligible for (one measly yellow ribbon counts for nothing in this world, obviously, though i'm not getting humphy about it, oh no) i'm endeavouring to go for all of them this week. after a period of sod-this-can't-be-arsed attitude (and a complete drying up of inspiration and motivation)i feel again like i want to click away like mad and take stuff for the challenges. i'm looking forward to tomorrow especially - i'm going to my first ever majorish sporting event (through work as it happens, found out the day before the team sport challenge was announced) and i'm going to take full advantage. admittedly i am only equipped with a lowly Powershot S50 compact jobby (no whizzy lens's for me) but what ho, i'm looking forward to submitting something from tomorrows experience... |
