I was out shooting the area flood damage and ran across a guy who was shooting for a local newspaper. We talked awhile and he gave me the email of the editor for the newspaper and told me I should email him a few shots and a link to my portfolio and let him know that I was available to do some freelance work. I did and he emailed me back within 15 minutes and asked me how much I wanted for the image. It was that simple. I also spoke with John Setzler on the phone today and he gave me lots of Great Advice which I plan to use in the future to get more of my shots in the paper! The only advice I can pass along to you is to try to get a shot of something News Worthy with a Human Interest Angle, a current event of some sort or an event that you don't think many others are covering. Good Luck :o)
