I was just getting ready to stand up from my computer chair and get ready for school when I looked down and notice a brownie I had served myself to go along with my cereal this morning. I had completely forgotten about it (somehow!). I thought to myself, "Well, what a delightful surprise..." Then I thought, "Gee, that could be an interesting challenge topic."

I have no idea how to word it, but it would be any Freestudy type shot, but somewhere in the photo is a "Delightful surprise." Something unexpected and delightful. I would recommend the challenge be Basic or Advanced. If it were Expert, it would be way too easy to get the surprise in the photo, because you could just paste something in.

Thoughts? Help with wording description?

I *really* hope that "brownie" is not a euphemism! ;-)

Gasp! It was a brownie my husband made from this recipe.

Oh, those look sinful!
Actually, the photography is really nice, isn't it?

The photography is what really got me too. The brownies are the first thing we've tried, and I will vouch for them being delightful. The blog reminds me of one Manic's wife June used to do that had great photography. Last I checked, June had stopped updating hers though. It really does make a difference to have great photography on a food blog. Everything just looks so good!

An added bonus with this blog is that she's got a bunch of Italian stuff that my husband remembers from growing up. His aunts have given us some recipes, but they never work quite right. They speak mainly Italian, so we're pretty sure something isn't translating correctly...

Indeed! Check out some of the recipes on this one. Lacey's photography can be pretty darn good too, and the recipes are often awesome.

Bookmarked. What a delightful surprise this thread has turned out to be... Apples are going on sale at the grocery this week, and Lacey's got a recipe for homemade applesauce. That sure does sound good when the high temp around these parts is 35F and we've got snow in the forecast for Thursday/Friday.

Edit to adjust my temperature. I had put 365F! Warm apple sauce would not sound good if the temp outside was that hot...
