which of your photos do you think suffered the most injustice? |

I don't think any of my photos have suffered any injustice. It's sometimes hard to tell in advance how the DPC audience will respond to my photos, which can lead to a discrepancy of my own expectations, but I think pretty much every photo on this site ends up with the vote it deserves. Do you not think so?

This one! hehe.. Although I understand, after some excellent in-depth critiques, why it didn't do well.. I thought for sure it'd finish at least a little higher.
But.. this is why I'm here.. live and learn. Next time!

I pretty much agree.
Sometimes it's hard to understand when a picture meets the challenge, is in focus etc. and people vote a 2 or a 3.
Everone votes differently, I know, but it's still hard to fathom at times.
And I'm not even talking about this challenge.
Just DPC life in general.
Wednesday morning blues, that's all. |

I hear you, Unclebro. It's always a letdown when a photo doesn't do as well as I hope it will, which is way too frequently. :-)

Im with you guys i thought this would do better. I think I read too much into the challenge I thought the frame had to be the subject. "Such is life".
Anyway plenty more challengers to enter.

I really thought this would do much better than the 4.2 it scored, but then I have to admit that the composition is a little unusual with the upside down rose. I find it hard to guage the response of voters to my photos and ones that I thought were going to bomb have done much better than expected. |

I knew I would take some hard knocks for this not being a "standard" neon sign, black background kind of shot...but I really didn't expect a 4.7. Probably just wishful thinking... LOL ;o)

I was surprised that you didn`t do better with that one Laurie.
I thought it was a refreshing change from the "Standard".

I just finished going through my shots and you know, with time, I now see that most pictures really got the score and rank they deserved. Shots that I originally thought to be "cheated" aren't that great and were slightly out of context.
My biggest goof was submitting this image for Color Studio Portrait instead of June Free Study. Bad decision.

I did get 5.150 for it, but at 132nd place, I thought it was a bit unfair.
Also, it was one of my first challenges and I cared much more about scores then. |

My current submission to Backlighting is getting slaughtered. I'm barely holding on just below 5.0 on a shot that I really thought would be up in the 6s.
Ah well. At least I learned some lighting technique on the way.

My travel photo is really being flogged for something I did on purpose (and even emphasized using photoshop). I guess I made a bad decision!
But I'm really disappointed...but I don't think I can attribute this one to injustice, just rookiness! |

I wouldnt say injustice but I certainly had thought/hoped the following would score higher (score not necessarily placement). It's probably the only shot that I've really been disappointed in.
