I was planning on canoeing the Chippewa River in central Michigan next weekend (if I don't have to work). Now, I've received an e-mail invitation from Cabelas and Tamron to attend a Photography Workshop at Hidden Lake Gardens. Has anyone attended these workshops co-hosted by Tamron? Are they useful or just a sales gimmick? |

take the photography work shop....sounds like its in a nice place, plus ou will get some good pointers and tips. Ans yes it probablly will be some type of sales pitch, but that does NOT mean you have to buy.

I'd go canoeing, but that's just me.

Hmmm, I'd go to the Tamron thing, just leave the credit card at home. (unless you are looking for a deal on a lens)

Next weekend would be too late for the "Travel Guide" challenge so if the weather is nice go with the canoeing. If the weather is terrible go with the workshop.

We used to canoe the au sable when I was a kid, both as a family and with the cub/boy scouts. My vote? Canoe! If I could get the time, I'd go with!

My scout troop has done the Au Sable many times and we switched to the Chippewa for a change of scenery. The water in the bends is 10-12 feet deep and you can see the fish at the bottom. Thanks.

Thanks all. I'll probably have to work, and that will eliminate the decision. We start mass production of the 2005 Mustang this coming Tuesday, and we are all getting ready to work OT until we retire. Ford wants 48,000 Stangs by Christmas. |

I want that car so badly! Any chance you can grab me one for cheap? |

I constantly have people coming out to the Test Track and asking to drive one. I think we've trained over 300 employees in the last three months. I want one also, but probably won't until my 17 and 19 year old move out. The V6 should go around 20K and V8 should go about 27K. With my employee discount I can probably get into a GT for 22K.
