Indeed it is gorgeous. Definitely reflecting the light of the sky, at first I thought it was a DNMC, but after looking closely for details of the sky (clouds) it seems to me that it has no reflection of the sky. Who knows how the voters would react?! |

The challenge description prohibits "mirror reflection" of the sky. You basically can't shoot water outdoors without it reflecting sky, though. I believe the idea was to force us to shoot landscapes without great clouds to bail us out :-) |

No problem.
I'm really lucky to have almost all my water in the ice and snow form. Almost. |

What I *MEANT* is, if you just go to the beach and look at the water, that's sky you're seeing reflected. If the water's calm and there are clouds, then you see those clouds. More or less. So the description specifies "mirror" reflections just so nit-pickers won't DNMC generic blue reflections off choppy water. Or something like that. Pay me no heed. I'm confused, erratic, and sometimes discombobulating, we all know that right? :-) Carry on, carry on! |

I would still (years later) like to see this challenge in voting. It would be fun. |

Well, we DID Run the challenge at the end of March, 2014... But I've put a version II in the queue, this one specifying minimal editing. |

Without the yellow flag I would assume that hints of sky will likely meet with voter disdain but not disqualification, correct? |

There's no provision to allow for cropping in the ruleset so I would assume no. |
