Mine is 115 out of 16 challengers, that didn't look good and is relevant to the number of entries, so I worked out average % placing.
That was 50% much more happier with that.

Yours is too long to figure out - even for excel.

I'd like to think that recent history is a better indicator:

Nah, Excel's "Web Query" feature makes it a piece of cake to run stats on your challenge entries any time you want.

Open a new worksheet
Choose Data > Import External Data > New Web Query...
Type "//www.dpchallenge.com/profile.php" into the Address box
Scroll down to the "Challenge Entries" section and click the little yellow arrow (turning it into a green checkmark)
Click the "Options..." button in the top-right corner
Enable "Disable date recognition" so your "Place" column doesn't get converted to a date
Click "Import"
Click "OK" to accept the defaults in the "Import Data" dialog

Presto! Your challenge entries are now in Excel, ready for analysis.

Save your worksheet, and when you open it a few weeks down the road and want to update it with your latest challenge entries, just choose the Data > Refresh Data menu option and your latest challenge entries will be imported!

The "Place" column is a little funky because it has two numbers in it. To get just the first value in a column by itself for analysis, put the following formula in J2:

=INT(LEFT(E2,SEARCH("/",E2)-2))

and then drag the lower-right hand corner of cell J2 down to copy it as many times as needed ('til your last challenge entry).

You can now use Data > Sort... to order the table however you want (use the 'J' column to accurately sort by "Place").

I think you should all be very proud of me...because I (yes, me the mathematically challenged child of DPC) just followed EddyG's instructions and have my VERY OWN DPC SPREADSHEET now!!!! ;o)

What to do with all those stats now...hmmm..... :o)

edit...my average percentile is 60% for 42 challenges. I'm happy with that, being that I don't know what I'm doing half the time! ;o)

You are the daddy EddyG.

I use excel but do it by hand - and also took my "/" away by hand. this is the key! =INT(LEFT(E2,SEARCH("/",E2)-2))

Clever Eddy!

I tried to import the data into Excel, but it didn't, it said "Invalid Web Query".

Any ideas on how I can get it to work?
