They should be talking about the increase in US exports even though the main export lately has been US jobs.

Even the crowd seemed to like booing more than cheering - scared me that they booed the UN so loudly and so often. Maybe the script for last night was anger and fear. Maybe tonight will be upbeat, optimistic and future oriented. Let's hope.
I thought it was interesting that neither Bush's bio or Cheney's bio on the official RNC web site mentioned Iraq.

I don't get the point of the article??? So what, Bush was probably never in any real danger after 9/11. He didn't put himself in any real danger. Who cares? What should he have done differently then? Or is this just another pointless attack? If you are going to bash someone, at least have a point that means something.
On another note:
I have to hand it to Zell Miller, after seeing/hearing him speak I wish he was running for president.

He is my new hero!
If you didn't get to see his emotional speech, you can read a transcript of it here. Wow!
Some of my favorite parts of his speech:
This is the man who wants to be the Commander in Chief of our U.S. Armed Forces?
U.S. forces armed with what? Spitballs?
and
Senator Kerry has made it clear that he would use military force only if approved by the United Nations.
Kerry would let Paris decide when America needs defending. I want Bush to decide.
John Kerry, who says he doesn't like outsourcing, wants to outsource our national security.
That's the most dangerous outsourcing of all.
But the whole thing was just first-rate. And the guy is a democrat! If they all thought like him (and years ago, they did; where the Democratic party stands on various issues has changed immensely since the days of Roosevelt and the like... but now they cater to the demands of the leftist-loonies, wackos and special interest groups), our country would be much better off! |

How was it hateful and bashing if it was all true? Didn't he simply supply information and facts?
"Miller didn't say that Kerry voted against the weapons on the list he rattled off, only that he opposed them. And indeed Kerry did, in 1984, as a candidate for the Democratic nomination for Senate from Massachusetts."

Hey guys.
First of all, though I am too young to vote, I am a Bush Volunteer (I bet that set off a few Red Flags). What I want to say is: STOP.
I'm sick and tired of the generalizations I get thrown into by my political views. I have a right to have them, don't I? When someone associates my party with Nazism, what on earth did _I_ do to deserve that?!
Never in my life have I insulted the political views of anyone. I've held a firm and true belief to the first amendment, and whether or not I agree with what someone has to say, I still don't call them names, or bash their ideas. It saddens me to have people toss around this amendment saying it's overexaggerated, when many people don't even have this simple right!
It seems to me that holding a rightest view in the slightest will get you chastised, and I don't understand this. In my chemistry class I was attacked for having a Bush Cheney sticker on my binder. My car was keyed for displaying the same bumper sticker. I've been pushed and spitted on for wearing a Bush shirt. And I come here, and I see comments generalizing the party for actions by one of its members.
What have I done to deserve this? Offered my support of the president? Is that such a crime? Is it such a crime to voice my support for the man that leads our country? I have never done anything to any leftist people in the remotest way, yet all of the sudden, actions taken by my party which are remote compared to what I've experienced, are being called off as rude, unfair, etc.?
I dunno about you, but I'm very confused. I went and heard the President speak at Nationwide Arena (he is an excellent Orator) and outside there were scoffing and mocking protestors. If his opponent came to speak, I wouldn't be doing that, I'd probably be watching it at home on television, so I can get a fair look at both parties. Why then, do they feel the need to mock me? To scoff me? What have I done?
I almost got fired from work for having a polite conversation with a co-worker about the president. Never in the entire conversation did we mention anything about the left, but a customer overheard and reported us, saying we somehow inadvertently insulted their political beliefs. By mentioning the president?
I understand, not all liberals are this way. And even if they were, I would still respect them and their beliefs. Nothing that anyone has done do me has ever changed my opinion on them. But if my future vote is trying to be won, couldn't maybe some friendlier tactics be used?
Again, I respect everyone, no ifs, ands, or buts. I'm not trying to bring anyone down remotely at all in this post. That would be rude. What this post is is a plea for everyone to just stop. I can't stand it when people get angry over something as small as *a bandaid!* My grandfather won the Purple Heart in Korea, where he nearly lost his life. He would not take offense to this act, because he shared the same views I do. I got them from him. But yet I still am getting the blame for this or anything else my party has done. Why, because I affiliate myself with them? What have I done?

Damn right.
And its a good thing to fear terrorists. They like to do horrible things to innocent people....but you knew that right? Even those wonderful insurgents in Iraq you love so much have a tendency to cut off innocent peoples heads. And you cant blame that on Bush.
They are terroist pigs....plain and simple.
If you think the terrorists just are just missunderstood....I say you go over there and explain your "peace policy"
