are they legal?

Thanks

I've used them a lot of times, but I don't think I've ever actually had one validated. There does seem to be a difference of opinion on the topic; some consider them equivalent to "clip art". My take on it is that there are some that produce "clean", straight edges and those are definitely OK. There are some that produce relatively clean, but ragged, edges, and personally I think those should be OK. Then there are the very pronounced, "emulsion-type" edges; these I'd be a little worried about and I haven't used them in challenges.

But that's just one bear's opinion...

Thank you Robert.

Better make my own, if I decide, by enlarging the canvas, select it with magic wand, refine edges and have it "deleted" for a bit of less clean one...

Right - and then they DQd the same frame preset on one of mine, but later rescinded it. Everybody uses them... technically they overlay the image and shouldn't be legal but they seem to be, so long as they don't alter the main part of the image too much.

Thanks.

Expert vs advanced should not be an issue, right?

I think in Expert they would be allowed with no question.
