Took this while carousing in downtown Manhattan. Any help on how to improve? Comments/critique appreciated. I was thikning about submitting this into the Framing challenge but decided it was not a clear cut enough frame to use.

i do love the expression on the guys face, but like mfairbanks said, the OOF pretzels are drawing my attention away from him. i dont have enough courage to take candids on the street.

by the way, which lens did you use?

hmmmm....
[laurie ponders what young Lee must do as he "carouses" in Manhattan.]

Great candid...love the pretzels in the foreground, but I might be inclined to crop some from the bottom, the top, and the right side to bring you in closer to his face and give less attention to the pretzels. Good shot! :o)

Thanks for the comment...I used a lent Canon 50mm 1.4..I'm in the market for the 1.8 so I gave the closest thing to it a test run.

Laurie - thanks for the comment. I've gotten an overwhelming cropping comments so I went ahead and did that. (Oh and as for "carousing" NYC, well, me and my grandpa have some projects that we do together as he works for a NY touring company hehe...we'll be hitting old China TOwn sometime soon :)

yeah i have the 1.8, its a great lens for the price.
