Saw this fantastic story on CNN and thought to share.

Andreas Franke took pictures of this sunken ship then took pictures of models in the studio in period costume. He then choose 12 and image processed them to come up with the surreal beauty that you can see in his final pieces. He then put them in plexiglass watertight (as much as you can make them) frames and then hung them on that same sunken ship for divers to explore the gallery.

What a deep project, I lost count of the layers of influence.

It amuses me to no end that the sea life's natural accretions on the lexan frames seem to put the same sort of distressed filters and edge effects as you will find applied on all to many arty shots at Art Limited or some of the extreme cases at 1x. Life imitates ort.
