Always...my coolpix 4300 is very portable, I leave it in my office at work so it doesnt get stolen or overheated in my car. When I get my D70, I'll still keep my coolpix with me and take the other Almost Always!

Always right now since I have a compact camera. When I upgrade, I am not sure how to always keep it with me. I will probably have to decide what the situation calls for then. I love always having it right now.

When do I carry my camera??

When I can't get it to walk by itself.

hehhehe. I take it a lot, but by the time I get the diaper bag, the purse, the work bag (or whatever I'm needing at the time) adn the toddler down the steps, out the door, and loaded into the vehicle, I find that I usually forget it. :-/

Always. I find that with a compact camera and a small case on my belt, I can carry it without even noticing it.

Some people carry a purse. I carry my camera. Everywhere. Priorities ya know.....

Pretty much always. The first time I made a conscious decision to leave it behind, I drove two blocks from my house and glanced out the passenger window to see a large owl flying parallel to the window at eye level about eight feet from the car. I think it was laughing, too.

ALWAYS! My wife thinks I'm crazy! You know something, she's right! The day I don't take it will be the day that I miss that "Once in a Lifetime shot"! And now that I have a brand new Canon EOS 10D I'm afraid to leave it at home for fear that it will escape!

My camera is such a part of me, people question me if I *don't* have it.. for whatever reason.

I think most people I know say, "quick! HIDE!" when they see me coming with my camera case strapped over my shoulder.

Before I go to bed each night, I lay out my clothes, keys, billfold, cigs, lighter, cell phone and yes, my camera. With all lenses, filters, both mini and tall tipods. And in my car, always keep a towl or blanket to use if I need to get down in the dirt for a photo opt. Also, some times, not often, I leave my camera at home while I'm at work, my whole pack lugs about 20 pounds...it gets tirersome after a few days...However, once I do leave it at home, my co-workers wonder if I was doing ok or sick or even gone MAD if I was seen without my camera on my shoulder...so, I would say pretty much ALWAYS, unless i was running late somewhere and just left it behind to. But, I do have my back up, SONY F717 also available if I don't want to take my whole pack with me, like to the store for some more cigs or coffee. Must always think ahead...:)

Since I bought my Optio S4, and have stuck it in an altoids case, it goes with me everywhere. About 3 weeks ago, I bought a monopod, and that stays in the car so I can quickly put the S4 on it. At least the monopod doesn't look so much larger than the S4 (like it would on the tripod).

Hey guys, the camera is a part of me right now, it goes to work, even when I go out for lunch.. the other night, the camera slept beside me on my bed.. sad I know. It is only about a week old though so that might have something to do with it.

As much as possible. It was easier with the smaller point and shoot, but I still find ways to bring it with me.

Hey Ami, if you get sick of lugging that 8700 around, ship it to me and I'll hold on to it for you for a year or so!

Pretty much only when I have something in mind that I want to shoot. Been trying to keep my D70 with me more often though.

Hehe, now now, I just got it a couple months ago, no taking it away yet. ^_^

I'm just wondering how I'm going to take it with me now that I'm moving onto campus...I mean...I know I need a bag so I can carry my laptop, but I'm not sure how my camera, laptop and books are gonna fit...

You MUST keep your priorities straight in college. Books? We don't need no stinkin' books. Laptop, well, only if it doesn't interfere with your gadget bag and tripod!
