Tangy's good -- listen to her. :)

Although, I'd skip all the work with the lasagna noodles and go try a fettuccine. I don't know that the lasagna is lying very naturally. (lasagna is an awfully thick noodle). one of the things that's quite interesting about the original is the pose: I like the way the hands and the silverware are almost horizontal in the photo. Most of photos with utensils are more like your shot -- at an angle.

We may not be getting a good feel for it at 300px. Do you have a larger version we can see?

A part from the harsh processing on the skin IMO that's a rockin' image...

I would scoop your hands over more of the fork , right now your hands look tensethink of a motor bike grip and how you roll them, that is how the painting is depicting it

Love this one. It may just be my eyes, but the table top doesn't look level. Anyone else see that.

Not sure if this will get seen as a very old post- but I have been looking for a very similar painting for 4 years. The closest thing I found to the replica was the correct painting posted here.
The difference is I have taken a picture of the painting I am looking for, which is displayed in a local restaurant. However, the restaurant do not know the name of the painting or artist, and I would really like to find out so I could purchase a copy. Anyone know?
I will put the picture as my user profile pic.

Contact the Pasta Museum people: they own the original and should know how to get a copy, if any are available.

ETA: Yup, they sell a reproduction of it :-)

Since the thread was brought up, we never did hear how his mom liked it... at least it's not in this thread. Did he post it somewhere else?

That is the million dollar question. The author should reply and let us know.
